Day Visits

One unforgettable day of hands-on learning! Whether it’s for 90 minutes or 10 hours, we help you plan an inspiring experience that will have a lasting impact on your group. Our Outdoor Educators lead program(s) you choose within a timeframe that fits your needs.

Customize your day of learning and fun

Get hands-on with the natural world

Whether hunting for macroinvertebrates, paddling the barge to Blackhawk Island, or testing the Wisconsin River for environmental DNA, your group can become scientists for the day.

Improve your teamwork skills, one challenge at a time

From our low-element challenge course, “Peanut Butter Mountain,” to our creative challenges like The Amazing Upham Race and Outdoor Survival, spend the day focusing on communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Embrace the spirit of adventure in every season

Navigate the Wisconsin River by canoe, explore the rugged trails of Blackhawk Island, or glide through the woods on cross-country skis or snowshoes. With year-round archery, there is always a new skill to master.

Upham Woods offers family-style food service. Visiting groups may bring their first meal as a packed lunch. Beyond the first meal, food service is required for groups of 15 or more people.
