Get ready for summer fun at Upham Woods! We’re kicking off the season with a fantastic lineup of programs for all ages. From family adventures to adult explorations, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to read the program details for age restrictions and to find your perfect summer experience. All youth participants must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday, May 30th, 9 am – 12 pm
Canoeing (ages 9 to adult)
$20 per person
Join us for a canoeing adventure! Paddlers must be 9 or older. Younger children can ride as passengers if they can sit independently in the middle of the canoe and are accompanied by two paddlers. Our smallest life jackets fit 30-50 lbs; participants under 30 lbs must bring their own. Please note: This event is subject to cancellation and refund in case of high river flow.
Summer Camp Sampler (all ages)
$13 per person
Experience the magic of summer camp with our Summer Camp Sampler! Perfect for all ages, this program includes a scenic hike, hands-on craft activity, an up-close encounter with our amazing snakes and turtles, and a delicious s’mores finale around a crackling campfire.

Blackhawk Island Hike (ages 10 to adult)
$15 per person
Adventure awaits! Hike 2-3 miles through towering pines and shady maple forests, marvel at breathtaking sandstone cliffs, and uncover the island’s captivating history, from Native American heritage to logging lore. (Note: A North Shore Hike will replace this if river flow is high.)
Adventure Sampler (ages 8 to adult)
$13 per person
Unleash your inner adventurer! Begin with an exciting archery session, followed by hands-on outdoor survival training where you’ll build shelters and learn fire-starting techniques.
